Vortex

Tactics

A Vortex cryture combines mobility with forced movement to harass enemies or tie them up in melee. The Whipping Winds power gives them a reliable way to disable opportunity attacks for multiple foes, while Eye of the Storm can pull them in from a wide area to clear the way for vulnerable allies. Whirling Charge lets the cryture blitz through enemy lines, leaving them in disarray. Their paragon power, Cyclone Dash, fills the same role with the added chance to stun.

Benefits

Level 1 (100 exp)

Vortex Novice - The cryture gains the Whipping Winds and Whirling Charge powers.

Level 2 (150 exp)

Mobile - Opportunity attacks against the cryture get a -1 roll modifier.

Level 3 (250 exp)

Vortex Adept - The cryture gains the Eye of the Storm power.

Level 4 (400 exp)

Durable - The cryture gets +10 Health.

Level 5 (600 exp)

Vortex Paragon - The cryture gains the Cyclone Dash power.

Crit: +1 Hit and the target becomes Distracted.

Whirling Charge

Cost: 2 Stamina

Type: Air

Effect: Before the attack, you shift a number of spaces up to your Speed, then make the attack against each combatant you moved within range of.

Melee 1

Attack: Strength + Vortex vs. Deflection

Hit: 2 damage per hit and you push the target 1 space per hit.

Crit: +1 Hit.

Eye of the Storm

Cost: 1 Stamina, 1 Mana

Type: Air

Major Action

Personal Blast 3

Attack: Strength + Vortex vs. Deflection

Hit: 3 damage per hit and you pull the target 2 spaces.

Crit: +1 Hit.

Cyclone Dash

Cost: 2 Stamina

Type: Air

Major Action

Effect: Before the attack, you may shift up to your speed.
