The Mechanics of Travelling
Overland Travel
When travelling through known terrain, or simply passing from point A to point B, travelling takes place in Passing Time and uses a Labor Action. You also must spend 1 Stamina for each space you travel through. The distance a party can travel is based on the lowest Speed of the party members, as well as the Density of the terrain.

Travel Speed dictates how much Density you can travel through in a single Labor Action. Your party's Travel Speed is equal to 6 + the lowest Speed among your party. If you exceed this amount, each party member loses 1 additional Stamina for each Density beyond the Travel Speed. Each space you travel through also triggers an Encounter roll.

Travel Actions
During overland travel, party members can perform certain actions along the way.
Navigate
You chart a course to travel, then make the following check.
Cost: 1 Stamina per space
Labor Action
Roll: Sense + Survival
Difficulty: 5 + Spaces Moved
Complexity: Number of spaces moved
Success: You move through the intended spaces.
Failure: You move along your course for one space per success, then move in a different direction for the rest of the move. Roll 1d10. For every 2 of this roll (rounded up), you move clockwise from your intended destination.
Forage
You make the following check, then move along with the party.
Cost: 1 Stamina per space
Labor Action
Roll: Intellect + Healing or Survival
Difficulty: 10 - Highest Density
Complexity: 1+
Success: You find your choice of either 1 lb of food or 1 unit of medical supplies per success.
Track
You make the following check, then move along with the party.
Cost: 1 Stamina per space

Roll: Sense + Zoology
Difficulty: 5 + Spaces Moved
Complexity: 1+
Success: You preemptively find 1 cryture or human encounter per success, and can choose to evade them.
Guide
You make the following check, then move along with the party.

Difficulty: 5 + Spaces Moved
Complexity: 1+
Success: You preemptively find 1 hazard encounter per success, and can choose to evade them.
Exploration
When moving through unknown terrain, you may take time to explore it instead of just passing through. Exploring takes place in Strategic Time and passes at several hours per round. For each round you spend exploring, ​you spend also trigger an Encounter roll.
Exploration Actions
During exploration, party members can take different roles to discover different kinds of features.
Navigate
You choose an adjacent space to travel to, then make the following check.
Cost: 1 Stamina, 1 Travel Speed per Density
Focused Action
Roll: Sense + Survival
Difficulty: 5 + Density
Complexity: Density
Success: Your party moves to the intended space.
Failure: Your party moves to an adjacent space instead. Roll 1d10. On 1-5 you move 1 space clockwise from intended, on 6-10, you move counter-clockwise from intended.
Forage
You make the following check while moving along with the party.
Cost: 1 Stamina
Focused Action
Roll: Intellect + Healing or Survival
Difficulty: 10 - Density
Complexity: 1+
Success: You find your choice of either 1 lb of food or 1 unit of medical supplies per success. You also discover 1 water source feature per success.
Track
You make the following check while moving along with the party.

Success: You preemptively find 1 cryture or human encounter per success, and can choose to evade them. You also discover 1 Camp or Nest feature per success.
